Features Benefits Analysis Tool

This tool is a simple way to determine the most important benefits of a product or service you want to promote. For whatever product you want to promote, identify all the features you can in the left column. Then for each feature, enter at least one benefit in the right column. Remember, a "Feature" is what it is, what it has, or what it does (i.e., the "What") . . . while a "Benefit" is why your customer would care (i.e., the "So what").  This tool is designed for 20 features, but you can add more in the bottom field if you want. You can not store this information here, but you can click the "Summary" button and create a full list of your features and benefits in the Summary block. You can then copy & paste from the Summary block.

You can also use this tool when you want to convince someone to buy into your idea or do what you want. All you have to do is list the things your idea or proposal offers in the "Features" column. Then put yourself in the position of the person you want to convince, and identify how each feature would benefit that person.

NOTE: The tabbing feature is designed to fill in all the features you can and then completing benefits in order of each feature. However, you can jump around by clicking in each field.
