Do you find that you have a large following on social platforms like Facebook and Twitter, but only a small number of email subscribers?
Well, now’s the time to do something about it. Today, we’re going to talk about how you can encourage your followers on social media to sign up for your email list too. Because the more social followers you get on your email list, the better the chance you’ll be able to earn their trust and turn them into customers. Let’s dive right in.
Tip #1: Add a sign up form to Facebook
There are two ways you can collect new subscribers directly from your Facebook page. One way to increase email sign ups is by adding the AWeber app to your Facebook account, and connecting it to your business page. Once it’s installed, you can connect it to your AWeber account and configure the page so it displays your preferred form.
And voila! The app will appear on the sidebar of your business page. The second way to make it easy for your followers to sign up is by using Facebook’s call-to-action feature, and have it link to a web-hosted version of your sign up form.
The benefit of using this is that it’s located right on your cover image, so it’s more noticeable to followers on your page. Or, you can use both sign up forms to really capture your followers’ attention!
Tip #2: Share broadcasts on Facebook or Twitter AWeber customers.
Llisten up. There’s a really easy way to get more eyes on your broadcast emails.
Once you’ve created a new email message, you’ll be directed to a Sharing page, where you can choose to share your message on Facebook and/or Twitter. Just click the drop down menu and select that you want to post it, and that’s it! Your broadcast email will get posted on the social platforms you selected.
Tip #3: Post links to a web-hosted version of your sign up form.
Encourage people to sign up to your list by telling them about the benefits and what they’ll get out of it. When they know that they’ll get more valuable information from your emails, they’ll be more likely to sign up to them so they don’t miss a thing. And don’t forget to share the link to a web-hosted version of your sign up form in a post on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn so your followers can easily sign up! And that’s it for today.
